Jaelyn McComas was raised in Saskatchewan and graduated from Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 2009. She completed a one-year Post Graduate Residency in Primary Eye Care in Guanajuato, Mexico, in 2010 and an Academic Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry, FAAO, in 2013. Her passion for adventure lead her to teaching optometry students at the College of Optometry in Melbourne, Australia, volunteering in Thailand, and working in various international and remote communities including Mexico, Alaska and Australia. Dr. McComas believes that quality patient care is inspired by genuine passion for helping patients achieve their health and vision goals.
In 2015 Dr. McComas moved to the Okanagan to live her dream life - a beautiful balance of work and play. Jaelyn delights in being a part of our community. She enjoys mountain biking, hiking, white water canoeing, camping, bike packing, nordic and alpine skiing, and road trips to explore B.C. Her curiosity compels her to learn and try new things.
Dr. McComas welcomes previous patients and new patients of all ages.
